We fully support the aims of NHS Protect in combatting fraud and corruption committed against the NHS, in order to help maximise the resources which can be used for patient care. We regularly review our strategies so that we can reduce our exposure to fraudulent activity. This includes meeting our obligations to appoint a local counter fraud specialist (LCFS) who is a qualified criminal investigator. The LCFS works with staff throughout the Foundation Trust to introduce anti-fraud measures and to investigate legitimate concerns.
