Information for visitors:

Visiting hours:

We have an open visiting policy for close family and friends. Other visiting is negotiable with the nurse caring for the patient and the patient themselves where possible, however there may be times when visitors are asked to leave for the privacy of patients during emergencies and routine procedures or ward rounds.

Maximum number of visitors per patient:

Usually 2, this is flexible dependant on the condition of the patient.

Age restrictions for visitors:

Negotiable

Meal times:

As many of our patients are unable to eat normal foods, there are no set meal times; however once they are able to take food we aim to establish normal breakfast, lunch and evening meal times.

The unit has a selection of information leaflets for you and your relatives; these are available within B bay or from any of the nurses.
